Three Natural Treatments For Yeast Infection Of The Skin

Do not be alarmed if you think you have yeast infection. There are many natural ways to prevent and even cure yeast infections. Yeast infection symptoms can vary from case to case, but here are the most common symptoms you can watch out for: Painful sex or sexual dysfunction, feeling depressed all of a sudden without any triggers, feeling like you are not yourself, bruises, vaginal itching and pains, as well as learning and memory problems.

If you know why people get infected with yeast, you will realise that treatments for yeast infection of the skin can be natural and easy. Candida, the yeast responsible for most yeast infections, is the most common yeast in our body. Our body can be its natural habitat without becoming infected and in fact, Candida Albicans actually live on the surface of our body. Most of the time, bacteria from our body prevent the yeast from going haywire. The problem is if the balance between the bacteria and the fungi is upset. This is when the fungus becomes infectious. Controlling it is just a question of restoring the correct balance.

Why insist on curing yeast infection the natural way? Because this is easily the most effective way to do it. Medication and drugs only treat the symptoms of yeast infection. They do not even come close to treating the root problem. The reason for this is that the big drug companies cannot patent the natural cures, hence they resort to ineffective medication to treat yeast infection.

Here are three natural treatments for yeast infections of the skin.

1. Apple cider vinegar bath can be great for any skin rashes and yeast infections of the skin. Apple cider vinegar smells sweet and not as stinky as you think. It is great at balancing the pH of the skin and it is also a good anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent.

2. Organic coconut oil can be rubbed on the rashes and bruises caused by yeast infection. Organic coconut oil can also be used for penis yeast infection. Organic coconut oil can be used as a simple ointment to treat your skin. It can also be taken in to make sure it balances the bacteria and yeast inside our body.

3. Raw honey is also great to use as an ointment. Raw honey is actually probiotic. This means that it facilitates the growth of helpful bacteria in the body. Just put a generous amount of raw honey on the affected area and leave for 8 minutes. You can rinse afterward with non-medicated soap.

Cure Of Yeast Infection – Five Home Remedies For The Cure Of Yeast Infection

If you are looking for easy methods for the cure of yeast infection, then this article is exactly what you need. Yeast infection is also known as candidiasis because it is caused by candida yeast, usually Candida albicans. Candidiasis can occur in the mouth, vagina, nail beds and skin folds under the breasts and lower abdomen. It tends to develop later in life, although yeast infection can occur at any age.

While candidiasis can affect both sexes, it is more common in women because the vagina provides the perfect environment for yeast to thrive.

Here are some natural remedies for the cure of yeast infection. Best of all, they are all simple and inexpensive:

1.Tea tea tree oil

Tea tree oil can be used against Candida infections and harmful bacteria for its antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal functions. It can penetrate below the lower skin layers. Tea tree oil can be used locally, around the vaginal area, or may used in the bath water as well. You should stay in this for at least 20 minutes.

2. Water

In fact, water is the single most powerful tool for any condition or disease. As any doctor would say, you should drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Doing this will greatly reduce your chance of candidiasis. Drinking plenty of water and urinating often will flush the sugar and other toxins that feed the yeast out of your body. The best thing about water is that it is easily obtained, natural, and has absolutely no side effects.

3. Cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar can be very potent, so it is not usually recommended to put it directly on the skin. This will be effective in killing the yeast, but it will hurt terribly and burn the skin. The best way to apply it is to add a cup of cider vinegar to your bath.

Use Bragg apple cider vinegar, not ordinary white vinegar. That would feed the yeast instead of killing it.

4. Yogurt

The good bacteria found in plain, unsweetened yogurt help the body to fight yeast and other harmful bacteria. You can use it internally or externally. It is good to eat Yogurt because it contains good bacteria and promotes digestion. You can also dip a tampon in plain, unflavored yogurt and apply directly to treat vaginal yeast infection.

5. Garlic

Garlic is the supreme enemy of yeast. Garlic is the best and most effective natural remedy for yeast infection. It can be applied directly by the insertion of a clove of garlic or garlic leaf (a good brand is Shaklee garlic tabs or Kyolic garlic tabs). Insert into the vagina every few hours for soothing relief.

Garlic should also be taken internally. A natural antibiotic, garlic has many health benefits, such as lowering cholesterol and reducing blood pressure.

Muscle Aches – Could It Be A Yeast Infection?

We all suffer with muscle aches from time to time. Usually the cause is obvious. Exercise, especially something we are not used to, strain, cold or flu, will all cause muscles to ache.

What if the cause is not so obvious though? What if the muscles keep on aching long after we have stopped exercising or the cold or flu has cleared up? What if none of these were present in the first place?

There are many illnesses that can cause muscle pain and if you are worried then you should always seek medical help. Something you might want to consider first though is the possibility of a systemic yeast infection.

If this has developed in the gut, then it could be causing a condition known as “leaky gut syndrome”. In this condition, toxic material which should be kept in the gut passes into the blood stream. Poisons like this will normally be dealt with by the liver. With a leaky gut though, there is too much for the liver to deal with and so the body stores the excess in muscle and joint tissue.

The aches and pains you associate with exercise are because of the toxins in the muscle produced by the exercise. If the muscles already contain toxins from the gut, you will feel the pain much sooner, possibly without exercising at all.

What can you do if you suspect this is the cause of your aching muscles? Well, there are various changes you could make to your diet and lifestyle which will help your body to deal with the yeast, heal your gut and give your liver a chance to deal with the toxins in your body.

If you drink a lot of tea and/or coffee, cut down or switch to decaffeinated. Cut down or eliminate alcohol if you drink a lot. Take pro-biotics to encourage the growth of “good bacteria”, especially if you have recently been taking antibiotics. Reduce your intake of sugar and other refined carbohydrates.

If one or more of these changes brings an improvement to your muscle aches and pains, then a systemic yeast infection could be the problem. To find out more about curing yeast infections naturally, click on one of the Yeast Infection No More links in this blog.

Curing Yeast Infections – Do Creams Really Help?

If you have suffered with a vaginal yeast infection (and 75% of women will do) then you will have tried to cure it using one of the many proprietary creams that are available for curing yeast infections.

Did it work? I mean, did it really work, so that your problem never came back again? I thought not.

Many of these creams will get rid of the external signs of the yeast infection but, because they do nothing for the underlying problem, the cure is not permanent.

I have never suffered with this myself – I don’t have those bits. I do, however, have a similar problem, also caused by yeast/fungus growth. That problem is athlete’s foot. This also can be “cured” using creams and powders but still keeps coming back.

It became so bad at one point that I went to see the doctor about it. He commented on the dampness of my feet and pointed out that if I had fought in WW1 I would most certainly have suffered with trench foot. It is not always reassuring to know that things could be much worse!

Anyway, he prescribed some antibiotics to treat the athlete’s foot, but warned me that the spores of the fungus would survive this and, as soon as the conditions were right again, it would return. He was correct. The course of antibiotics lasted for three months and the problem was much better. As soon as I stopped taking them, though, the athlete’s foot started again.

I had noticed this before when on holiday. I spent two weeks never wearing socks or shoes and my feet felt and looked 100% better. As soon as I returned to my normal routine, the athlete’s foot returned.

What does this have to do with curing yeast infections in the vagina?

Well it is all about environment. The cream will kill of the yeast in the immediate area, but the yeast is always in your system. When you stop using  the cream, if the appropriate environment is still there for the yeast to flourish, it will.

What you really need is a holistic approach to curing yeast infections which will not only get rid of the immediate problem, but also make sure the yeast friendly environment is not available anymore.

Diet and Curing Yeast Infections

Candida Albicans, the organism responsible for most yeast infections is present in all of us, including the healthiest. It is usually kept in check by other organisms, the so called “good bacteria”. Problems occur when the balance between the candida and the bacteria is upset. This can be because of the use of antibiotics, for example.

If you have ever made home brewed beer or wine you will know that, for yeast to flourish, it needs sugar. It also needs a certain amount of acidity. If you wish to prevent or control a yeast infection then …  avoid feeding it! Cut down on the amount of refined sugar you use and eat less of the bought foods that contain it. This will reduce the fuel available to the yeast and so reduce its spread through the body.

Strengthen the good bacteria using prebiotics and probiotics. This will also help to restore the balance between the yeast and the bacteria.

These simple changes will help to prevent or control yeast infection but there is much more that you can do. For the best complete guide to curing yeast infections, download Yeast Infection No More today.

Could You Have A Leaky Gut?

Do you have any of the following symptoms? If you do, you could have a leaky gut.

  • Abdominal pain (chronic)
  • Insomnia
  • Bloating
  • Excessive flatulence
  • Anaphylactoid reactions
  • Shortness of breath
  • Anxiety
  • Fevers of unknown origin
  • Gluten intolerance (celiac disease)
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Heartburn
  • Malnutrition
  • Migraines
  • Muscle cramps
  • Multiple chemical sensitivities
  • Muscle pain
  • Myofascial pain
  • Mood swings
  • Poor exercise tolerance
  • Poor immunity
  • Poor memory
  • Recurrent bladder infections
  • Recurrent vaginal infections
  • Recurrent skin rashes
  • Brittle nails
  • Hair loss
  • Swollen lympth glands
  • Food allergies
  • Constipation
  • Diarhhoea
  • Liver dysfunction
  • Brain fatigue
  • Abdominal spasms
  • Anal irritation
  • Constant hunger pains
  • Depleted appetite
  • Sluggishness
  • Depression
  • Chronic fatigue.

Having a leaky gut means that some of the nasty stuff that should be passing straight through your gut to be eliminated is being absorbed into the blood stream. This then overloads the liver, which cannot cope. The results of this will be some of the above symptoms.

Leaky gut syndrome can be the result of a number of factors, but many of these relate to an imbalance between “good bacteria” and candida albicans, allowing the latter to produce colonies which damage the gut wall. This condition is also known as candidiasis.

Candidiasis, or systemic yeast infection can itself result from a number of factors including the use of antibiotics, steroids, birth control pills, unhealthy diet etc.

If you have one or more of the symptoms listed above, you could be suffering from leaky gut syndrome resulting from a systemic yeast infection. If you have not already sought medical help, it might be a good idea to do so. Alternatively you could investigate natural and holistic methods for curing yeast infections.

Curing Yeast Infections – Can The Right Clothing Help?

When I was a student in the early 70’s I knew a girl from the local public (i.e. private!) school. One of the uniform essentials was that the girls had to wear stockings and not tights for “health reasons”. This seemed quaint at the time as, since the popularity of the mini-skirt, most women wore tights not stockings.

I was ever in favour of stockings rather than tights, but that’s just me being an old perve! But, you might ask, what does this have to do with curing yeast infections? Well it would seem that the headmistress was actually on to something.

The yeast in vaginal yeast infections is called candida albicans and, like all such organisms, it thrives in warm, damp conditions. This is why vaginal yeast infections are the most common – the vagina provides the ideal environment for yeast! If you then enclose this environment in nylon by wearing tights and nylon panties, you make the yeast even more at home. This problem will be exacerbated if you also spend a lot of time sitting.

If you suffer from frequent yeast infections, try wearing stockings instead of tights. You could even try wearing no underwear, or at least something loose, which would also help. Cotton underwear would be better than nylon, as it allows some “breathing”. This is also assuming that you wear skirts not trousers. Trousers, especially tight ones, will also restrict the circulation of air around the affected area.

If you suffer with frequent or chronic yeast infections you should consider the clothing you wear as part of a holistic approach to curing yeast infections. Yeast Infections No More will give you much more information on this.

PS if you think all this talk about stockings and no underwear is just me being kinky, have a look here.
