Muscle Aches – Could It Be A Yeast Infection?

We all suffer with muscle aches from time to time. Usually the cause is obvious. Exercise, especially something we are not used to, strain, cold or flu, will all cause muscles to ache.

What if the cause is not so obvious though? What if the muscles keep on aching long after we have stopped exercising or the cold or flu has cleared up? What if none of these were present in the first place?

There are many illnesses that can cause muscle pain and if you are worried then you should always seek medical help. Something you might want to consider first though is the possibility of a systemic yeast infection.

If this has developed in the gut, then it could be causing a condition known as “leaky gut syndrome”. In this condition, toxic material which should be kept in the gut passes into the blood stream. Poisons like this will normally be dealt with by the liver. With a leaky gut though, there is too much for the liver to deal with and so the body stores the excess in muscle and joint tissue.

The aches and pains you associate with exercise are because of the toxins in the muscle produced by the exercise. If the muscles already contain toxins from the gut, you will feel the pain much sooner, possibly without exercising at all.

What can you do if you suspect this is the cause of your aching muscles? Well, there are various changes you could make to your diet and lifestyle which will help your body to deal with the yeast, heal your gut and give your liver a chance to deal with the toxins in your body.

If you drink a lot of tea and/or coffee, cut down or switch to decaffeinated. Cut down or eliminate alcohol if you drink a lot. Take pro-biotics to encourage the growth of “good bacteria”, especially if you have recently been taking antibiotics. Reduce your intake of sugar and other refined carbohydrates.

If one or more of these changes brings an improvement to your muscle aches and pains, then a systemic yeast infection could be the problem. To find out more about curing yeast infections naturally, click on one of the Yeast Infection No More links in this blog.
